Purpose:
For the relief of symptoms of cold sores and fever blisters
Ingredients:
Each gram contains:
Idoxuridine 5mg, Lignicaine hydrochloride 20mg, Benzalkonium chloride 5mg,
(contains Chlorocresol 1mg/g as preservative)

For the relief of symptoms of cold sores and fever blisters. Best results are obtained by treating the infection early
Virasolve works in 3 ways

What Causes Cold Sores?
Cold sores are caused by the virus herpes simplex. This virus is very common
Most people who get cold sores will have caught the virus as young children or as teenagers
How Can You Stop A Cold Sore Spreading To Others?
Avoid skin contact, eg. Kissing, touching or picking the cold sore, especially when it has blistered. Do not break your cold sore blister
Be careful not to touch the cold sore then rub your eyes. Take extra care if you wear contact lenses and when applying or removing make-up. If your eye becomes red, watery and sensitive to light, see your doctor right away
Use your own eating and drinking utensils, towels and face cloths when you have a cold sore
Avoid sharing lipsticks or lip balms. Wipe lipstick testers before using them, and preferably test them on your hand rather than lips
Wash your hands thoroughly if you touch the cold sore and after you have bathed and treated it
See Your Doctor If:
A cold sore spreads from your lips or around your mouth and nose to other parts of your face, or if cold sores appear on other parts of your body
If you need further advice or treatment talk to your pharmacist or doctor

Caution: Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Do not continue usage if redness or swelling worsens

Dosage:
Cover the infected area with a thin layer of Virasolve. Repeat the application every hour on day 1 and then every 4 hours on subsequent days until the cold sore disappears
Virasolve contains a local anaesthetic to help reduce pain and itching associated with
cold sores
