Every quality Durex condom is manufactured to the highest international standards. Used according to these instructions, latex condoms are highly effective against unwanted pregnancy, against some sexually transmitted diseases, and against HIV, the virus which causes AIDS. However, no method of contraception can provide 100% protection
Instructions:
1. All Durex condoms have an expiry date printed on the pack. Check that yours are current
2. Open the foil by tearing gently, durex condoms are very strong, but they can be torn by sharp fingernails or rings
3. Squeeze the open foil and your durex condom will slip out
4. Make sure you put the condom on the erect penis before any contact with the vaginal area; early fluid from the penis can contain semen
5. Squeeze the closed (teat) end to expel most of the air and put the condom on the tip of the erect penis
6. Holding the teat, unroll the condom the full length of the penis as far as it will go. Again, take care with rings and fingernails
7. Make sure the condom stays in place during sex. If it comes off, fit a new one for safety. If it breaks (an unlikely event) or if you are in any doubt, don't hesitate to consult your doctor
8. It is important to withdraw the erect penis soon after climax, still holding the condom firmly in place. Otherwise semen could leak from the open end once the penis is soft again
9. Ease the condom off, avoiding spills. And avoid contact between genital areas until you put on a new condom
10. Wrap the used condom in a tissue and dispose of it hygienically in a closed rubbish bin; do not flush it down the toilet
11. Durex condoms should only be used once. Next time: new durex, Every time
Lubricants
Durex condoms are lubricated for your greater comfort.
If you want to use additional lubrication, make sure it is water-based, such as durex Top Gel
Avoid oil-based lubricants such as petroleum jelly (Vaseline) or baby oils as these will damage the fine natural latex from which your condoms are made
Spermicides
Durex extra safe and durex Elite have nonoxynol 9 added to the lubricant. Nonoxynol 9 is an effective spermicide which has been shown in laboratory tests to inactivate HIV, the virus which causes AIDS
If you or your partner are using any medication in the genital area, consult your doctor or pharmacist for further advice. Durex advice is always; either say "no" or use a quality condom
Electronically Tested
Warning:
