Maize starch, magnesium stearate and lactose.
General:
Claratyne relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (Hayfever), such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and burning or itchy eyes. Claratyne may also be used to relieve symptoms associated with a skin condition called urticaria; therese symptoms include itching, redness and lumps on the skin called hives.
Claratyne belongs to a class of medicines know as antihistamines. Antihistamines help reduce the allergic symptoms by preventing the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced by the body. There is no evidence that Claratyne is
addictive.
Warning:
Do not use Claratyne if you are allergic to it or any of the ingredients listed above, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Not suitable for children less than 2 years old, or if you have liver disease or eye problems (such as high pressure in the eye or glaucoma), sugar diabetes, prostate enlargement, or problems with your liver, kidney or bladder.
While you are using Claratyne you should inform all Doctors, Dentists or Pharmacists who are treating you, and inform them if you become pregnant whilst using Claratyne. Claratyne is unlikely to make you drowsy, however you should not drive or use machinery the first time you use it. You should stop using Claratyne 48 hours before you have any skin tests.
Keep away from children and store below 30°C
Dosage:
Adults and children over 12 years- one-tablet daily.
For children under 30kg- half a tablet daily.
