Diflucan 150mg

General:
DiFlucan One is the only oral, single dose vaginal thrush treatment available from your pharmacist

  • Treating thrush is now as simple as one capsule once, taken by mouth!
  • Diflucan One is an oral capsule, taken by mouth, with or without food at any time of day
  • It can be taken at the first sign of symptoms and there is no need to wait until bedtime to treat
  • It can also be used with diaphragms and condoms, unlike topical treatments, which reduce effectiveness and safety
  • Fluconazole inhibits CYP2C, and to a lesser extent 3A isoforms, and thus may affect the metabolism of other drugs. In vitro studies demonstrate that the extent of inhibition of 3A isoforms is lowest with fluconazole when compared with ketoconazole and itraconazole.
  • Phenytoin, sulphonylureas, cyclosporin, warfarin, theophylline - Levels may be increased by concomitant administration with fluconazole.
  • Cisapride - use of cisapride with fluconazole is contraindicated due to the risk of cardiac events
  • Rifamycin - fluconazole levels may be reduced, rifamycin levels may be increased
  • Celecoxib, parecoxib - levels may be increased by concomitant administration with fluconazole

If you have never had thrush before, arrange to visit your doctor. Once your doctor has confirmed that you have thrush, he/she will be able to recommend a treatment. If you have suffered thrush in the past, you can go directly to your pharmacist. If your thrush does not go away or if it reoccurs, it is important to see your doctor for advice. Thrush is one of the most common forms of vaginal infection. So common, that three out of four Australasian women will experience the symptoms of vaginal thrush at some time in their life. Some have it only once, but many experience several bouts every year. After taking DiFlucan One, you should notice an improvement in your symptoms within a day or two. Consult your doctor if you are no better in three days
