Maria Makrides (Flinders University) have demonstrated the importance of the combination
of fatty acids in Efalex in helping to maintain eye and brain function, important in our
ability to learn, read, write and spell.
Why are fatty acids important ?
Essential fatty acids are vital components of every cell in the body and are extremely
important for vision, hearing and brain function. A large proportion of the brain is
composed of the fatty acids docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid (AA). DHA is
required for normal nerve cell and eye membranes; AA is required for normal transmission
of messages along nerves and for the laying down of memory.
Who can take Efalex Ability ?
Suitable for all ages.
Warning:
Pregnant and breast feeding women, and people under medical supervision or taking
medication, should consult their Doctor first.
Dosage:
In order to replicate research findings it is recommended that adults and children 5 years
and over should take 8 capsules daily for the first 12 weeks, after which the dose may be
halved. Children under 5 should be given 4 capsules daily, which can be halved after 12 weeks.
