Product Description
Your child could have dry beds within a few nights
DRI Sleeper™ is effective in successfully treating bedwetting in up to 90% of children over the age of 5 years.
When using DRI Sleeper™, as urination begins, the alarm sounds, waking the child before the bed or pyjamas are wet. This teaches the childs unconscious mind to waken to the need to urinate and later learn the mature pattern of suppressing the need to urinate during the night. Successful treatment to consistent night dryness is achieved in most children in a few weeks.
How does it work?
A detector clip (35mm x 15mm) is clipped into a standard disposable panty-liner. This is attached by wire to a credit card-sized beeper unit which is worn on the shoulder. When the child starts to urinate, a connection is made by the contact points in the detection unit - which in turn sets off a loud, high-pitched bleeping noise from the beeper on the child's shoulder
Obviously, this noise is loud enough to wake the child up. But more importantly, it causes an immediate contraction of the external sphincter - which is to say that it immediately stops the flow of urine from the bladder.
No sooner has the child begun to urinate and the reflex to do so is suppressed
